Building sustainable food systems is the key issues of Expo Milan 2015 which theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” involves a variety of aspects, including the fundamental link between food, human health and environment.

In order to response to this requirement, and coherently with the mission of Università Cattolica, ExpoLAB is going to organize 5 Summer Schools which will provide specific training courses with a multidisciplinary perspective on the following topics: Food safety for food security Food hygiene for charity organizations Foodborne diseases Access to land and sustainable use of resources for poverty eradication Legal framework: agricultural support policies, food labelling and certification.

The Summer Schools - organized as two days courses, including lectures, group work and discussions - will be held in English and are addressed to Postgraduate students, operators and delegates working in Charity Organizations and NGOs which deal with the themes covered by the courses. Lectures will be given by distinguished experts from Academia, International Institutions and NGOs.
