Over the past decade, the European banking and financial regulation has been subject to a long process of reforms. In particular, the main reforms have designed a new regulatory framework for both the banking sector, as outcome of the Banking Union, and the financial markets, through the Capital Markets Union Action Plan. Finally, the FinTech Action Plan, as well as several other initiatives concerning technological innovation have opened new and challenging perspectives for regulators.

In this scenario, the International Summer School on Banking & Financial Law wants to promote debate and dialogue between young researchers and professionals in relation to issues concerning regulation and supervision of financial institutions and financial markets.
